Moore Industries Inc., a custom injection molder in Montpelier, Ohio, is expanding.
The company, which supplies parts to automotive and heavy-truck original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), is working on an 18,000-square-foot addition, including 6,000 square feet for production and 12,000 for warehousing. Moore has raised part of its factory's roof to accommodate continuous crane rails and expanded office space, according to its website.
Work is continuing on the $1 million project, which started in the fall. According to local media and Williams County Commissioners meeting records from Aug. 12, the expansion was expected to add 12 jobs to the company's staff of more than 80. Moore Industries did not respond to Plastics News' repeated requests for comment.
The company has 18 injection molding machines with clamping forces of 75 to 2,000 tons, according to its website, and added five Fanuc robots this year.
Founded in 1984, the family-owned company also makes components for building, construction and furniture OEMs.
